Ty Mares has made a name for himself along the Jersey Shore as a singer-songwriter & a force to be reckoned with on the guitar.
The Metaphorical takes Mares' originals for a walk. Every live interpretation is its own, weaving elements of pop, jam, rock, funk & soul.
A military brat originally from Denver, Mares was built for the world of improv.
He trained under principal pianists & jazz guitarists before attending Berklee College of Music. For the last 5 years, he's honed his chops as frontman of Cosmic Jerry Band.
He’s shared the stage with members of Dark Star Orchestra, the Fugees & Dogs in a Pile, to name a few.
The Metaphorical (featuring Matt Hillblom on bass, Greg Warren on guitar, Anthony Mathison on drums, & Tommy Allen Jr. on aux. percussion/vocals) redefines pop music, bringing it front & center into the arena of jam.
